Want to help lead the next group of ambassadors? Apply within.
Thank you for taking an interest in the 2019 Central Ontario Leadership Seminar. Please read this page prior to proceeding further with the application process as it contains important information.
COLS is a leadership seminar that takes place over three outstanding days. It focuses on empowering and inspiring Grade 10 “Ambassadors” representing schools all over Central Ontario. One Grade 10 student is invited from each high school to attend. Ambassadors take part in team building exercises, a volunteer project, hear keynote speakers and discussion panels, and so much more!
Mandated by the COLS Board of Directors and our Plan to Protect policy, all staff who will be over the age of 18 at the time of the seminar must provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) to COLS by staff training.
If you are selected as staff, you must provide COLS within 30 days proof that you have applied for your VSPC as these checks can take time to complete by local police services.
By staff training you must provide COLS with the original VSPC and receipt as staff are reimbursed for the base, non-expedited cost of the check.
You are welcome to apply for more than one position, but you must complete each application separately as they contain different requirements and will be reviewed by different staffing leads.
