The Registration Lead is responsible for communicating the COLS program with all schools in central Ontario. The successful candidate will handle Ambassador registration and any inquiries that may be asked by schools and ambassadors; target areas that require a certain number of students to match available funding and answer questions students may have about accessing resources for the online seminar.
The Program Lead is responsible for developing a detailed program itinerary. The successful candidate will lead planning meetings to decide specific program elements such as speakers, panellists, activities, and more. The candidate will contact all speakers directly to book them for the conference; keep a detailed record of speaker contact information; confirm all bookings with Seminar Chairs; train PMAs and all staff on program and activities, and send out follow up “thank you” emails and gifts to speakers and guests.
Junior Leader (JL) Lead and Senior Leader (SL) Lead (Two Separate Positions)
The JL and SL Lead are responsible for the advertisement, recruitment, and fair selection of junior and senior leader volunteers with the support of the Seminar Chairs. The successful candidate will guide each team throughout the seminar and deal with any staffing issues that may arise.
The Logistics Lead is responsible for the advertisement, recruitment, and fair selection of junior and senior leader volunteers with the support of the Seminar Chairs. The successful candidate will work closely with the Program Lead to develop a detailed logistics program to ensure the seminar runs smoothly from start to finish. The candidate will procure, reserve, pick up and return any equipment needed for the seminar and train staff on all relevant software, equipment etc.
The Communications Lead is responsible for taking minutes at committee meetings, posting to the corporate social media pages, and sending out emails to alumni. The successful candidate will raise awareness of the organization through traditional media, social media, and developing a unique brand for COLS. The candidate is encouraged to develop the COLS brand on new platforms and in new ways, as approved by the Chairs and BOD.
The Sponsorship Lead will work closely with the BOD to secure physical and monetary donations from service clubs, alumni, businesses, unions, and other available funding sources such as grants. The successful candidate will work closely with the Registration Lead to highlight where funding is needed and where funding exists.
