Each school is allowed to send one student from their school. If a school wants to send more than one student, it must be cleared with COLS first to ensure that sponsorship arrangements can be made.
Students are roomed in townhouse or dorm room style accommodations, typically with 2-3 other students. Males and females are separated.
Yes, all meals and accommodations are provided to the students. Students may bring their own nut-free snacks. Fridges are provided in each accommodation.
The 2019 seminar is being held at the University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus.
Provided the student cancels on or before the cancellation deadline (see important dates), no penalty is applied. However, after that date a $100 cancellation fee will be applied to the school or student. Illnesses or family emergency may be excepted.
Students can cancel their registration without penalty up to April 30, 2019 without penalty. After that date, a $100 cancellation fee will be assessed to the school and/or student. Schools may not be allowed to send an alternate student depending on the date of cancellation. Illnesses and family emergencies will be excepted.
It costs approximately $325 to send a student to the seminar. However, this cost is covered by generous community sponsors. Students are only required to find their own transportation to and from the seminar.
